Booking Conditions

•       There is a degree of hazard in all mountain activities. All participants must sign the waiver of liability prior to commencing any program.

•       Little Cedar Services reserves the right to change or cancel any itinerary or service at any time due to insufficient enrolment, bad weather conditions or other reasons without penalty to LCS.

•       The participation of any person on any program is continually subject to the discretion of the program leader and LCS.

•       LCS accepts no responsibility for the actions of persons and/or companies supplying goods and/or services as part of these packages or for any extra costs that may arise from the complication or prolongation of any program for any reason.

•        Your physician must clear any health problems that may affect your participation in any program.

•       In the unlikely event of an emergency, participants may, depending upon program location be liable for any rescue or evacuation costs incurred either on their behalf or as a result of their actions.

Cancellation and Refund Policies

Should LCS cancel a program your payment will be refunded.

Should you cancel your booking for any reason the following charges apply:

•       If canceling more than 30 days before the program start date, a full refund will be given.

•       If cancelling between 14 and 29 days before program start date any deposit paid is forfeited.

•       If cancelling less than 14 days before program start date all payment is forfeited.

•       Cancellations must be received in writing (letter, fax or email). Cancellations are only effective once your notification is received by LCS

We strongly recommend purchasing optional Trip Cancellation insurance in order to protect your investment with us in case unforeseen events cause you to be unable to attend a program you are registered in. Most insurance providers offer a variety of services and good coverage.

Evening Seminars

These sessions are an integral and essential part of the learning experience on many of our programs. When you enroll, you will receive an information package detailing when and where your classroom session will take place (if applicable).

If you cannot attend an evening or classroom session on one of our programs, please let us know in advance so that we can make alternate arrangements with you.

Prerequisites & Policies

Our programs are open to anyone of average health and fitness who meets the specific prerequisites listed. Prior arrangements are required for participants under 16 years of age; these can be set up through the office.  LCS reserves the right to refuse a participant for any reason, including inadequate clothing or equipment, inappropriate fitness level, or inability to meet program prerequisites. All participants must sign a release form before participating in an LCS activity.

Equipment

When you register, a detailed package of information will be sent to you, including an equipment list. Due to the consequences of being in the backcountry with poor or inappropriate equipment and the impact it can have on the rest of the group, it is mandatory that you show up to your course with all the equipment listed.  Also, you must ensure your equipment is in good working order and that it fits you.  If, in the opinion of your instructor, your equipment is not adequate to safely travel the intended route, LCS reserves the right to deny your participation.  Please avoid this by discussing any equipment related questions with our office well in advance of your course.
